Assault – Public Assistance Requested: C18-15330
 
On January 21, 2018, members of the Winnipeg Police Service were advised of an assault that had occurred on a Winnipeg Transit bus.
 
At approximately 4:35 p.m., a driver was stopped on Portage Avenue at Fort Street when a male entered the bus and stated he didn't have fare. A short time later, the driver was punched in the face and the male fled on foot.
 
The suspect is described as a black male in appearance and approximately 20 years old with an average build. He was wearing a brown hooded jacket with blue jeans.
 
 
This investigation is continuing by members of the Major Crimes Unit. Anyone with information that may assist investigators is asked to call 204-986-6219 or Crime Stoppers at 204-786-TIPS (8477).
