Robbery - Arrest: C17-277872
On December 10, 2017 at approximately 5:25 p.m., Winnipeg Police were notified that an adult female had just been robbed in the area of William Avenue and Ellen Street. 

General patrol officers met with the victim who advised that as she attempted to enter her vehicle she was grabbed, and her purse, which she was carrying across her body was pulled off. The victim was later pushed to the ground and assaulted while the suspects demanded her keys. The victim called out for help and the suspects fled with the victim's purse.

The victim received minor injuries and did not require immediate medical attention.

At approximately 8:00 p.m., general officers observed several females matching the description of the suspects in 400 block of Pacific Avenue. One of the female was found in to be in possession of the stolen purse.

Three youth females have been arrested and charged with Robbery. Two were detained and one was released on a Promise to Appear.

This investigation is continuing by members of the Major Crimes Unit. Anyone with information that may assist investigators is asked to call 204-986-6219 or Crime Stoppers at 204-786-TIPS (8477).

Serious Assault – Public Assistance Requested: C17-250283
On November 4, 2017, Winnipeg Police were advised of a serious assault that had just occurred. The 28-year-old victim was riding a Winnipeg Transit bus at approximately 7:30 p.m. in the area of Portage Avenue and Balmoral Street.

Two unidentified parties on the same bus began to argue. The victim attempted to calm the situation when a third, unidentified male passenger approached and became confrontational. This male struck the victim in the face causing significant facial injuries. The suspect fled out the rear door of the bus.  

The suspect is described as a male in his late 20's to early 30's, dark haired goatee, approximately 6' with a skinny build wearing a brown or orange tuque, green parka, blue jeans and work boots.



This investigation is continuing by members of the Major Crimes Unit. Anyone with information that may assist investigators is asked to call 204-986-6219 or Crime Stoppers at 204-786-TIPS (8477).

Residential Break & Enters – Arrests: C17-274579
Between April 25 and December 6, 2017, a rash of residential break-ins occurred throughout the City of Winnipeg, all with a similar MO.

In each case the suspect or suspects used bodily force to enter single-family residences and would specifically target the theft of gold and jewelry.

On December 6, 2017, at approximately 2:30 p.m., 2 suspects broke into a residence in the first hundred block of Blenheim Ave. where they stole jewellery and wrapped Christmas presents. The suspects fled in a vehicle which had been observed by neighbours.

At approximately 3:30 p.m., investigators from the Major Crimes Unit located the suspect vehicle and arrested 2 suspects.

Jason Kenneth LUNDBERG, 42, has been charged with:
- Break, Enter and Theft x 71
- Possess Weapon x 63
- Fail to Comply with Recognizance
- 2 firearms related offences

He was detained in custody.

Jamie Leonard BRENNER, 40, has been charged with:
- Break, Enter and Theft x 2

The value of the stolen property is estimated at approximately $180,000. Damage to property is estimated at $60,000.

Stabbing – Arrest: C17-277872

On December 10, 2017, at approximately 10:30 p.m., emergency personnel responded to a report of an adult female who had been stabbed in the upper body. The victim was conveyed to hospital where she remains in stable condition.

Responding officers located a male suspect in the area. A 28-year-old male had been charged with Aggravated Assault, Possess Weapon and Breach of Probation. He remains in custody.
