Correction

Update - Fatal Motor Vehicle Collision - C16-264178

As previously released December 18 - 21, 2016:

On December 18, 2016 at approximately 12:00 noon, emergency personnel responded to the area of Henderson Highway and Kimberly Avenue regarding a collision involving a pedestrian.

It's been determined that a 68 year old female was crossing Henderson Highway in a westbound direction from the north side of the intersection. At the same time, a Chevrolet Silverado was making a northbound (left) turn from Kimberly Avenue when she was struck, causing critical injuries.

Yesterday, the 68 year old female pedestrian succumbed to her injuries.

Family notifications have been made and members of the Winnipeg Police Service Central Traffic Unit continue to investigate.

No charges at this time.

On November 13, 2017, after a lengthy investigation by the Winnipeg Police Traffic Collision Investigation Section, a 24-year-old male of Winnipeg has been arrested and released on a promise to appear.
