Firearm/Drug – Arrests: C17-253987
 
During the evening of November 9, 2017, members of the Street Crime Unit executed a Controlled Drugs and Substances Act search warrant at a residential suite at a building in the first 100 block of Hargrave Street. 
 
A male and female were located in the suite and taken into custody. An investigation has led to the seizure of a number of items including the following:
 
- 2.5 ounces of methamphetamine (valued at approximately $6,200).
- A loaded .22 calibre revolver.
 
The suspect male attempted to produce identification in the name of another male and was found to be evading a number of arrest warrants.
 
Mark David Hurdon, a 26-year-old male of Winnipeg, has been charged with:
 
- Possession of a Scheduled Substance for the Purpose of Trafficking - Methamphetamine
- Possession of a Loaded Restricted Firearm
- Careless Storage of Firearm
- Possession of a Firearm Knowing its Possession is Unauthorized
- Possession of Firearm Contrary to Prohibition Order
- Identity Fraud - Intent to Gain Advantage
- Fail to Comply with Probation Order (x3)
- Fail to Comply Condition Recognizance by Judge/Justice (x2)
 
Hurdon was arrested for three outstanding warrants which include additional charges of:
 
- Fail to Comply with Probation Order (x3)
- Fail to Comply Condition Recognizance by Judge/Justice (x2)
 
He was detained in custody.
 
A 31-year-old female of Winnipeg has been charged with:
 
- Possession of a Scheduled Substance for the Purpose of Trafficking - Methamphetamine
 
She was released on a Promise to Appear.
 
Investigators believe that these arrests and the seized items are related to drug trafficking within the city.
