Tuesday, September 19, 2017       Shooting – Investigation/Arrests: C17-207462 Winnipeg Police had previously released information on a shooting that had occurred on September 15, 2017: On September 15, 2017, at approximately 7:45 a.m., members of the Winnipeg Police Service responded to a report of a female who had been shot in the 500 block of St. Johns Avenue. Upon arrival, a female in her 20's was located suffering from a gunshot wound to her upper body. The female was transported to hospitalin unstable condition but has since been upgraded to stable condition. On September 17, Winnipeg Police arrested a suspect in this investigation. Roy Lionel LAQUETTE, 25, of Winnipeg, has been charged with the following offences: Break and Enter x 2 Aggravated Assault x 2 Wear Disguise with Intent x 2 Robbery Assault with Weapon Assault Discharge Firearm with Intent Possess Weapon for Dangerous Purpose x 2 Unauthorized Possession of Firearm x 2 Unauthorized Possession of Firearm Knowing its Possession is Unauthorized x 2 Unauthorized Possession of Prohibited/Restricted Firearm with Ammunition x 2 Possession of Firearm Contrary to Order x 2 He was detained in custody. These charges also relate to another incident that occurred earlier this summer.    Also charged in the incident on St. Johns matter were a 15-year-old male, and a 20-year-old male. Both were arrested on September 16.
