Homicide Investigation – Update: C16-247965
As previously released; on November 26, 2016, at approximately 3:00 a.m., Winnipeg Police received reports of gunshots being heard in the area of Donald Street and Stradbrook Avenue. Responding officers discovered two males suffering from what appeared to be gunshot wounds. Both males were transported to hospital in critical condition.

A 32-year-old male did not survive his injuries. The deceased victim has been identified as Theodoros BELAYNEH. He was a resident of Edmonton, Alberta.

The second victim, an adult male, has been upgraded to stable condition.

This investigation is continuing by members of the Homicide Unit. Anyone with information that may assist investigators is asked to call 204-986-6508 or Crime Stoppers at 204-786-TIPS (8477).
