Update - Homicide Investigation Arrests – C16-166130
As previously released - On August 10, 2016, at approximately 8:45 p.m., emergency personnel responded to the 400 block of McGee Street for the report of a body located.
 
Garnet Walter WILLIAMS, 43 years old of Winnipeg was located deceased. Early stages of the investigation suggested his death was suspicious in nature.
   
The investigation continued by members of the Homicide Unit.
   
Due to the evidence gathered, it has been determined that on July 31, 2016, WILLIAMS, while in the company of a small group attended to a suite located in the 600 block of Ellice Avenue. A dispute erupted at which time WILLIAMS was seriously assaulted by multiple people.
   
WILLIAMS sustained critical injuries and was confined for a period of time. After WILLIAMS succumbed to his injuries and several days past, the deceased was taken and disposed of inside a nearby garbage container.
   
On August 26, 2016, the following arrests were made:
   
Jeremy Lee ALLEN, 27 years old of Winnipeg has been charged with 1st Degree Murder due to his alleged involvement.
   
Miranda Nancy LECLAIRE, 32 years old of Winnipeg has been charged with Manslaughter due to her alleged involvement.
   
Lyle BARROW, 30 years old of Winnipeg has been charged with Manslaughter due to his alleged involvement.
   
Previously, Jennifer Kelly HALL, 25 years old of Winnipeg and a 56 year old male also of Winnipeg were arrested and charged with Indignity to a Human Body.
   
All arrested, except the 56 year old male was remanded into custody.
