Update - Fatal Motor Vehicle Collision – C16-150491
As previously released, on July 20, 2016 approximately 5:45 p.m.,emergency personnel responded to the area of Main Street and Logan Avenue regarding a serious collision involving a semi-trailer and a bicyclist.
                                                                                  
The investigation determined that an adult female was riding her bicycle northbound on Main Street on the west sidewalk approaching Logan Avenue.  The semi-trailer was also travelling northbound on Main Street while making a westbound turn on Logan Avenue when it collided with the female.  The victim was transported to hospital in critical condition where she succumbed to her injuries.
   
Investigators have still not positively identified the deceased as she had no identification with her at the time of the collision. 
   
The victim appears to be in her late 20's or early 30's, having a thin build and medium length dark brown hair. The bicycle she was riding was a Barletta ATB 12, white with grey writing.
   
Further to this description, the victim has distinctive tattoos on her left arm.
   
The Winnipeg Police Service is asking anyone that may have information regarding the identity of the deceased or who may have witnessed the collision to contact investigators in the Central Traffic Unit at 204-986-6271.
