Aggravated Assault Investigation – Arrests:  C16-126313
As previously released, on June 19, 2016 at approximately 2:20 a.m., a male and female suspect attended a hotel located in the 500 block of Main Street. While there, they confronted a staff member after they were refused service.

A 40 year old female victim was viciously assaulted by the pair over several minutes causing serious injuries.

Members of the Winnipeg Police Service responded, however, the suspects fled. Members of the Division 11 Crime Unit began an investigation. As a result, two suspects, a male and female, were identified.  On June 29, 2016 officers arrested both suspects.

Donald LOUPELLE, 44-years-old, of Winnipeg was charged with:
 - Aggravated Assault
LOUPELLE was remanded in custody.

Kayla Charmaine FIDDLER, 24-years-old, of Winnipeg was charged with:
- Aggravated Assault
- Fail to Comply Conditions Recognizance x 4

As well, Fiddler was charged with Assault Cause Bodily Harm in relation to circumstances surrounding her arrest. The victim in this instance was her co-accused: Loupelle.

Fiddler was also remanded in custody.
