Fire Update – Homicide Investigation – C16-128501
As previously released - On June 22, 2016 at approximately 3:40 a.m., emergency personnel responded to a residence located in the 300 block of Aberdeen Avenue regarding a fire incident. 
 
A 50 year old male resident was removed from the home and transported to hospital in critical condition. He has since succumbed to his injuries. 
 
Autopsy results have confirmed that the victim identified as David SANDERSON, 50 years old was assaulted prior to the fire being set.   
 
Anyone who may have had contact with SANDERSON during the evening of June 21, 2016 and into the early morning hours of June 22, 2016 is asked to contact investigators immediately. It has been determined that SANDERSON was in the area of Main Street between Dufferin Avenue and Selkirk Avenue during this time frame. 
 
SANDERSON is described as an Aboriginal male, 6'0" tall, 150 pounds, thin build, long hair in a ponytail and wearing a dark coloured t-shirt and jeans.
  
 
Members of the Homicide Unit continue to investigate. Anyone with further information regarding this investigation is asked to contact investigators at 204-986-6508 or Crime Stoppers at 204-786-TIPS (8477).  
 
 
Update - Homicide Investigation – C16-129347
As previously released - On June 23, 2016 at approximately 3:05 a.m., emergency personnel responded to reports of an injured male inside a suite located in the 400 block of Furby Street. 
 
James Edsel TUCKER, 45 years old was found stabbed in the upper body and transported to hospital in critical condition. He succumbed to his injuries. 
 
Martin Archie FLETT, 22 years old has been charged with 2nd Degree Murder, including several other serious charges due to his alleged involvement. 
 
Members of the Homicide Unit continue to investigate. Anyone with further details that may assist Detectives is asked to contact investigators at 204-986-6508 or Crime Stoppers at 204-786-TIPS (8477).
