Officer Involved Shooting
 
Incident referred to Independent Investigation Unit of Manitoba
 
On Sunday, September 20, 2015 at approximately 10:30 p.m., members of the Winnipeg Police Service were involved in an incident on Highway 59, just north of Highway 44 that resulted in the death of a male.
 
The Independent Investigation Unit of Manitoba was contacted by the Winnipeg Police Service Executive and commenced an investigation. This investigation is ongoing. The Winnipeg Police Service will not be commenting further. All inquiries should be forwarded to the Independent Investigation Unit of Manitoba.
 
 
Update - Missing Person/ Parental Abduction Investigation - Arrest – C15-197615
As previously released - A Canada-wide Warrant was issued for the arrest of Charlotte McMahon regarding a parental abduction investigation.  The Winnipeg Police Service requested the public's assistance in locating, Charlotte MCMAHON, 35 years, and her son, Tristan MCMAHON, 12 years.   Both were last seen in the area of St. James near Ness Avenue and Sturgeon Road, in Winnipeg on the morning of Saturday, September 19, 2015. 

On Sunday, September 20, 2015 both Charlotte and Tristan MCMAHON were safely located in the Manigotagan, Manitoba.
 
Charlotte MCHAHON has been charged with Abduction Where No Custody Order and remanded into custody.  
 
Once again the Winnipeg Police Service would like to thank the RCMP and the media and acknowledge that a tip from the public resulted in a safe conclusion in this matter.
