Sexual Assault – C15-132859
On June 25, 2015 at approximately 10:40 p.m., a 23-year-old female was walking on Atlantic Avenue between Parr Street and McKenzie Street when she was confronted by an unknown male on a bike.
 
The victim was on the sidewalk when the suspect rode past her and groped her in the upper body. Officers were also made aware of another similar incident, possibly involving the same male suspect.
 
The suspect is described as:
 
Male, 21-years-old, dark complexion, skinny build, short brown hair, wearing a white t-shirt, orange shorts and sandals.
 
The suspect's bike is described as:
 
Dark coloured, smaller mountain-style bike. The suspect was low to the ground when riding.
 
The investigation is continuing by members of the Division 13 Crime Unit. Anyone with further information is asked to contact investigators at 204-986-2848 or Crime Stoppers at 204-786-TIPS (8477).
 
 
Stabbing Investigation – C15-135427
On June 29, 2015 at approximately 12:30 a.m., Division 11 officers were patrolling in the area of Furby Street and Ellice Avenue when they observed a female in need of assistance.
 
The female was stabbed and required immediate medical assistance. She was transported to hospital in critical condition, but has since been upgraded to stable.
 
An adult male suspect was located in a vehicle nearby. He was taken into custody and is currently being processed by members of the Division 11 Crime Unit.
