Suspicious Male Update – C15-45565
As previously released, on March 5, 2015 at approximately 8:30 p.m. members of the Winnipeg Police Service were dispatched for the report of a suspicious male in the area of Dufferin Avenue and Robinson Street.
 
Officers met with the 12 year-old complainant who advised that she had been playing with friends when she noticed a suspicious male in a nearby vehicle who appeared to watching her. When the complainant attempted to flee, the male suspect exited the vehicle and began chasing her. A brief struggle ensued, however the victim was able to break free and make her way to safety, without any injuries.
 
The male suspect returned to his vehicle and fled the area.
 
The suspect is described as: Caucasian male, approximately 30 years of age, taller height, average build, brown facial hair, wearing a brown jacket, grey hat, dark pants, with a ring on his pinkie finger.
 
The suspect vehicle is described as: red pick-up truck, dirty, with a grey/white stripe on the side of the vehicle and a tinted rear window.

 
An extensive investigation by members of the District 3 Crime Unit has revealed that the incident is unfounded.
