Strong-arm Robbery Arrest – C15-62372
On March 28, 2015 at approximately 11:45 p.m., a 22-year-old female was waiting for transportation in the foyer of a building located in the 300 block of Portage Avenue.
 
It was at this time a female youth confronted the 22-year-old from behind in an unprovoked attack, assaulting her in the upper body. The assault continued when the suspect began pulling the victims hair and knocking her to the ground.
 
Another youth involved stole the victim's purse before fleeing. The suspect involved in the assault began walking westbound on Portage Avenue when the victim caught up with her and began asking for her property back. Again, the victim was assaulted in the upper body.
 
It was during this time officers came upon the incident and observed the suspect fleeing. She was apprehended a short distance away.
 
A 14-year-old female has been charged with the following:
 
Robbery
Fail to comply with disposition x 3
 
She was remanded into custody.
 
The investigation is continuing by members of the Division 11 Crime Unit.
