Winnipeg Police Service Member Charged
In September 2013, the Winnipeg Police Service Professional Standards Unit began a criminal investigation into the conduct of a Winnipeg Police Service Member.
 
Following a lengthy investigation and in consultation with Manitoba Justice, criminal charges have been laid against a member of the Winnipeg Police Service.
 
Sergeant Kenneth MOLLOY, 47 years-old, a twenty-four year member, has been charged with Assault and Obstruct Justice.  The allegations involve off-duty conduct.
 
He was released on a Promise to Appear and is currently assigned to administrative (inside) duties, having no contact with members of the public.
