MALE SHOT   C14-22126
On January 30, 2014 at approximately 8:10 p.m., officers and other emergency personnel responded to the 600 block of Magnus Avenue regarding a firearm discharge incident.
 
Attending members located a 37 year-old male with an injury to his upper body consistent with being shot. He was transported from the scene and is in stable condition.
 
The investigation has revealed that a group of males had been causing a disturbance in the area when the victim exited the rear of his residence. While the victim yelled out at the group to take the confrontation elsewhere, a male push passed him in an attempt to flee from the group. While the victim was closing the door to his residence, a firearm was discharged in his direction striking him to the upper body.
 
The suspects fled the area and police were notified.
 
The investigation is continuing by members of the Major Crimes Unit.
