Thursday, February 28, 2013 Correction - Date of incident is February 27, 2013.   GROW OPERATION- ARREST - R13-009253 On February 27, 2013, after a lengthy investigation, members of the Winnipeg Police Service Drug Unit, assisted by members of the Tactical Support Team executed a controlled drug and substance act search warrant at a residence within the 200 block of Eaglemere Drive.  Inside a large marihuana grow-operation was located and an adult female was taken into custody without incident.  The following has been seized:   742 marihuana plants, with an estimated street value of $831,040.00 18 pounds of dry harvested marihuana with an estimated street value of $45,000.00 Approximately $15,000 in grow- operation equipment  A 52 year old female of Winnipeghas been released to appear in court at a later date and will be facing the following charges:   Theft of telecommunications (hydro) Possessing substance for purposes of trafficking - CANNABIS (MARIHUANA) Production of controlled substance - CANNABIS (MARIHUANA)   For further information contact either: Constable Jason Michalyshen, Public Information Officer Constable Eric Hofley, Public Information Officer Office: (204)986-3061 Fax: (204) 986-3267 Email: WPS-PIO@Winnipeg.ca   Web: www.winnipeg.ca/Police
