Sunday, September 23, 2012     PUBLIC ADVISORY – RESIDENTIAL BREAK-INS   Recently, the Winnipeg Police Service has been made aware of several break-in enter incidents where suspects gain entry into homes through insecure doors.   Several scenarios have been reported where residents are home either working or relaxing in their back yards during the break-in. The suspect(s) subsequently enter the residence through an insecure location near the front of the residence and remove property such as: cash, credit cards, electronics etc.   The Winnipeg Police Service would like to remind members of the public throughout the city to insure that their home is secure at all times.       Members of the public are also encouraged to contact police immediately if or when suspicious activity of this nature is observed in their community.   For additional information regarding crime prevention, please visit the following link:   http://www.winnipeg.ca/police/PDFs/crime_prevention_book.pdf     For further information contact either: Patrol Sgt.
